At 39, a cancer diagnosis wasn’t on my radar. A second, or even a third, was unimaginable.
My journey began with stage 3 colon cancer and 2 different stages of breast cancer. The diagnosis was shocking and real, a life-altering event that reshaped my world. But through the treatments, the fear, and the uncertainty, I discovered a resilience I never knew I had. Today, I’m still in treatment, and I am thriving.
This journey ignited a passion to transform my experience into a movement. It is the heart and soul of Proactive Threads.
Our mission is to turn everyday apparel into a powerful tool for change. We create thoughtfully designed pieces that serve as more than just fashion—they are reminders, conversation starters, and symbols of a shared commitment to early detection. We want to spark the dialogues that encourage friends, family, and community members to know there genetic code and schedule screenings that will allow them to become advocates for their own health.
